Neocaching in Yellowstone National Park
Below are the challenges I completed during my visit to Yellowstone National Park!
My Yellowstone Natyional Park Neocaching completed CHALLENGES:
- See a bison!
- Check out a Visitor Center (Get 1/2 marathon race bib stamped with cancelation stamp)
- Get ice cream at the City Creamery in West Yellowstone
- Take a picture in front of the park sign (Share it with the scavenger hunt hashtag #yellowstoneexplorer)
- Eat at Taqueria Las Palmitas (Taco Bus)
- Fill a bag with trash
- Get neck deep in the Madison River (you can lie down!) -video
- Write a thank you note to the park rangers
- Hike or mountain bike the Rendezvous Ski Trails
- View sunset in Lamar Valley
- Join the Neocaching Community!
- See an Elk--no picture :(

First Challenge Completed
"Getting neck deep in the Madison River" was the first challenge I completed and was, I'd have to say, the major motivating factor for me to even do the challenges altogether! The current was swift, which we were glad to have found a spot so quickly that worked. The water was warmer than expected, due to the geyers flowing into the river probably. If I had gone out any further, the current would have taken me; and, I would have had to swim back to shore against the current!
