Takin' it to the next level...

I've begun to just write. What I mean by 'just write' is just that. I decided to start each day to sit and just write music, whatever is on my mind that day. I finished a melody and words just yesterday and have the challenge before me today when I get home to put some brainstormed words down to music. I did feel as though I filled a void. Tiny as it may have been, I felt that void missing, which was comforting as I awoke to meet the demands of the day.

I was just told that when music is created, it's like me using a coping tool in my toolbox of many things that help with everyday living. I do understand music's strength, but this was a little higher level thinking for me to the point of driving me to see what I can do as far as composing is concerned. Thanks to advice from a counselor I just started seeing, I've raised an expectation for myself, which has kept me from boredom.

Not to mention the You Tube videos I've posted about the 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Game my last counselor, Dr. Ramboz, taught me have been part of this change of happiness I've been seeking. Here is the address I've posted if you are interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tR1gxp_OLx0

Now, concentrating on school. Ta, ta.

You are very welcome...I must give credit to the original artists too of course. If it weren't for them, we know there wouldn't be the amazing hymns we all enjoy. Thanks for the sweet comment.
